Revised Lee’s Summit Rules for Fireworks

Before planning to shoot fireworks you must first obtain a permit.
They are free of charge from one of the licensed fireworks vendors within
the city, or at City Hall during regular business hours. Permits are valid
for the address listed on the permit at which the discharge will take place.
Fireworks may only be discharged on July 2nd and 3rd between
10:00 am and 11:00 p.m. and on July 4th between 10:00 am and midnight. Fireworks
are no longer allowed on July 5th.
Fireworks NOT PERMITTED include:
- Rockets on sticks
- Rockets with fins
- Roman candles or devices with the words “Candle”, “Warning shoots
flaming balls”, “Warning shoots flaming balls and reports”, or
“California candles”
- Illuminating Torch with wording on the caution label that reads
“Caution emits showers of sparks”
- Single or multi-shot parachutes, with night or daytime effects
