A Survey Update

A survey was included with our dues invoice for 2007. The results of that survey were published in the Spring ’07 newsletter. Here is an update on where we stand on those projects identified as most important to homeowners.

• Pergola at the pool for shade – completed 5/07
• Clubhouse (tied with Pergola) – a major capital expense, but under consideration for the future
• New pool furniture – purchased 5/07
• Restoration of the fountains at the entrances – completed 3/07
• Web site – introduced 11/07
• Trees along Elizabeth Drive
• Add more trees along the west berm – current project
• Add a slide for the playground – current project
• Sprinklers around the current playground – estimated completion 5/08
• Sidewalk extension from the street to the north end of the pond – estimated completion 5/08
• Add trees around the playground
• Build a shelter house in the park/playground area

Some people wrote in additional projects that they thought the Monarch View board should also consider:

• Additional landscaping
• Additional playground equipment
• Lights around the ponds
• Clubhouse rentals
• Trash can at playground
• Community basketball goal
• Sprinklers along the ponds
• Make Activities a separate fund
• Pool slide
• Tables with umbrellas at the pool
• Lights at the playground
• Playground equipment for older kids
• Shelter house with picnic table
• Enforce staining of decks and fences
• Volleyball net/court
• Walking bridge across Eagle Creek/Greenspace walking trail
